Sam is an award winning director of performance in theatre, film, TV and video games from London with experience in proper-belly-laugh comedy (not the polite snortle of theatres).
After completing an art foundation at Wimbledon School of Art, he trained in direction at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where he co-founded and continues to direct for Parrot in the Tank Theatre company.
Sam was invited back to RCSSD to teach a course in devised theatre soon after graduating before he headed to Paris to continue training at L'École Philippe Gaulier as a clown.
He has written several plays and short films for stage and screen. Sam’s writing is confident. So much so that I am happy to switch from the third person perspective to the first with such ease that he wonders if anyone would notice.
Sam has a great desire to create mega work with people from poorly represented groups, and is tired of the same old shit being made by the same people.
He loves slow shutting toilet seats, and hates mistaking regular toilet seats for slow shutting toilet seats.
